John where to start :) First question what release of OS/400 are you on? If
its V430 you are going to make things so much easier. When you say about the
ports you should always really leave the one that Net.Commerce allocates to
itself alone. It will check the 400 service table first to see if something
exists. So unless you no that you will want that port don't touch it. Have
you followed the read me in a word for word fashion the V2 version for
Net.Commerce isn't so much as a read me as a if you don't read me this will
not work.

How many jobs do you see running for your Net.Commerce instance? You should
see two mserverd jobs with the user the same as your instance you created
and a qnetcomm job can you see these? The 500 error is just saying I have a
problem interfacing between Net.Commerce and the HTTP server have you tried
starting your webserver with a -v option to see what gets thrown up? Let us
know the answer to all those questions and we may take it further. It does
run and sites such as http://www.proform.com and http://www.logoathletic.com
prove that.

Thanks
Bleddyn

net.commerce and the as400

SirJohn

Does anyone here have net.commerce running on their AS400? Was it easy to
install?

I am having some troubles installing net.commerce.

After doing the hair pull for a few days, I discovered that you cannot have
the IBM webserver and net.commerce running on the same port, 80. Duh, the
things you learn by doing.

The problem that I am now facing is with the test of the install and config
and accessing /ncadmin/. I can bring up /ncsample/base1.htm (but not one
of the links from this page works). Also the test for the registration and

shopping cart fails. If I try to go for the page directly, by entering the
url (www.comp.com) in my browser for the register page, I get Error 500
Internal error: headers. If I do the same with the IP address, 207.113...
I get the Command Execution Failure (CMN0961E) on what looks like a default
error page.

The big problem now seems to be that I cannot get to the /ncadmin/. It
seems that this is THE page for the config of net.commerce.

Anyhelp would be welcomed.
john
