Objective
Despite what you might think, Web Services are simple
in context, allowing programs to be called over the
Internet. This opens the door for offering low cost
'services' that your customers, suppliers, and trading
partners can use to conduct transactions with your
business electronically and at a low cost. In this
session, we will explain the technical details behind
Web Services and show you how to easily build your
own Web Service using iSeries RPG or COBOL assets that
you've been investing in for years.
At the end of this class, you will have a solid understanding
of how RPG applications can be extended to the Web
using the Web Services features of WebSphere - Express
V5.
