WebSphere
Did you know that IGNITe/400 deployed
the world's first commercial WebSphere application?
Yes, indeed we did, back in July 1998 using WebSphere
1.0, we deployed a search engine written entirely
in JAVA by a now defunct Chinese company. We have
progressed and experimented with Java and IBM
technology. In 2002, we are now convinced that
WebShere is not only an IBM strategic product,
but strategic direction for all of us. This page
will be constantly enhanced adding new resources
to help exploit this incredible new technology.
IGNITe400
run WAS V4
The Java code that is running on
IGNITe400 for the add banner at the top of the
pages, and our samples is now deployed under WAS
V4. We also manage and control our WebSphere Applications
not only using the console but also the
OpenSource WSTOOLS, which are a must for V3.5
and V4 users.
WebSphere
Commerce
As we have close links with WebSphere
Commerce on iSeries we have created a special
page with some of our own hints, tips and links
to useful information. This covers V5.4 of Commerce,
which is 100% Java although some of the information
will also be applicable to V5.1.

to Sample Code, Articles, and Presentations
This is the old IGNITe/400 WebShere
web page containing articles, code samples and
much more by IGNITe/400 contributers such as Sarah
Poger, Joe Pluta, Bleddyn Williams and Bob Cancilla.
