eBusiness Resource Centre
In today's rapidly changing world of eBusiness,
we are faced with many technologies and standards.
In the old days, you could read your computer
vendor's manuals and find everything you needed
to know. This is most definitely NOT the case
to day. Today we have standards based open interfaces
supported on our machines ranging from HTML to
XML. We have JAVA, JavaScript, and cross platform
software that is governed by the Internet's RFC's
(request for comments). This page is hopefully
a joint project for all members of this user group
to build over time. It is intended to help us
all find information we need when we need it.
Please contribute your suggested additions by
emailing us at: bobc@ignite400.org

-- (Request for Comments) |
These are the closest
things to standards you will find on the Internet.
RFC's are controlled by the IETF (Internet Engineering
Task Force) and maintained by IANA (Internet Assigned
Number Authority). These are the specifications
for standard protocols and facilities such as SMTP,
POP3, TCP/IP, DNS, IP Numbering, everything pertaining
to the Internet. We have listed some common RFC's
of interest to AS/400 users and provided a link
to a full RFC search engine! |
Meta

The
Vancouver Web Pages |
Meta Tags are HTTP
Header extensions that allow you to control the
behaviour of a client's browser by overriding the
server's default header. The Vancouver Web Pages
are the best reference I have found on the Internet.
Meta Tags and Headers are covered in the HTTP server
specification located at www.w3c.org |
